Graphic Overlay Decals
Graphic overlay decals are manufactured to be extremely long-lasting and resistant to frequent abrasion, UV exposure, extreme temperatures and certain chemicals. Some materials can even be flame retardant.
The process involves either screen printing or digital printing on the reverse of a clear polycarbonate film or lexan material to protect the inks and create a tough barrier over the applied surface that is impervious to scratching, constant use and the external environment.

Sticky Business Inc. uses Armalex polycarbonate for custom overlays for membrane switches and control panels intended for indoor use. Armalex is a series of rigid, clear polycarbonate films with a variety of textured and smooth surfaces. These films are tough, durable, and are preferred by many companies who want a clear protective barrier to exist in between their informational markings and the industrial environment. Applications include graphic overlays for membrane switches, control panels, and sub-surface signage.
We use LexEdge rigid polycarbonates for custom graphic overlays and control panels intended for outdoor use. This product is a 10 mil, rigid, clear polycarbonate with an embossed velvet textured surface. Intended for printing overlays and control panels when there may be 3 to 5 years of UV exposure.
Outdoor durable, this matte Lexan has a custom-formulated print surface specifically designed to resist tearing, abrasion and yellowing effects of UV exposure. Ideally suited for producing ATM/bank signs, equipment labels, gas station graphics, menu boards and other outdoor graphic displays.
Also available is a semi-rigid, 10 mil flame retardant Lexan material that meets the UL94 V-0 rating. This material is perfect for the production of sub-surface graphics for industries that require fire retardant material for aircraft, electrical and electronic applications.
